The District broke ground on a new fitness center on the campus of the Jr.-Sr. High School this spring. The construction project is part of the $89.9 million bond approved by voters in Feb. 2022 to update district learning environments, increase safety and security, preserve building infrastructure and invest in performing arts and athletics.

Designed to promote overall health and wellness, the new fitness center will contain a new dance center, a weight room addition to benefit physical education classes and team training and team locker rooms to accommodate much-needed storage space for athletic equipment. A new wrestling room will also enhance the current athletic program.

The new fitness center is scheduled for operation in Sept. 2026.
