At Tuttle Avenue School, Latin ballroom instructor Michelle Vicale-Smith treated students to a performance of various dances in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, held from Sept. 15-Oct. 15. Ms. Vitale-Smith discussed the various styles and history behind Latin dance, including the Merengue, guajira and sevillanas.

Teacher Mitchell Johnson volunteered to demonstrate a dance with the instructor to the cheers of students. Students then danced to the music, demonstrating their newly learned skills.
