NYS Comptroller releases Fiscal Stress Report and ESM Scores Well

The New York State Comptroller's Office, headed by Thomas P. DiNapoli, is the State's chief fiscal office. It ensures that State and local governments use taxpayer money effectively and efficiently to promote the common good. Of the many reports and audits this office is tasked with completing, there is the Fiscal Stress Monitoring System which develops the annual Fiscal Stress Report. This report analyzes all of the municipalities in New York State for financial health-including schools.

For the second consecutive year in the eight-year history of the report, ESM is not listed as fiscally stressed and has the lowest possible score. Like golf, the lower the score, the better you are. For 2020 ESM scored a zero.

Below are presentations and links related to ESM's performance as listed in these reports.
