  • Scholarship amount:  $4000

    Scholarship deadline:  March 16, 2020

    • Applicant must be a graduating high school senior with an average of 85 or higher
    • Applicant must be active in organized sports as wel as community service/clubs
    • Applicant must demonstrate financial need
    • Applicant must live in the First Assembly district  

Cristin Bambino Scholarship

  • Scholarship amount:  7 X $3000

    Scholarship deadline:  March 27, 2020

    • Applicant must be a graduating high school senior
    • Applicant must be a classified special education student
    • Applicant must show extra-curricular involvement
    • Applicant must write an essay about overcoming challenges

Robert D.L. Gardiner Foundation Scholarship

  • Scholarship amount:  $10,000 x 4 years Renewable

    Scholarship deadline:  March 31, 2020

    • Applicant must be a graduating high school senior
    • Applicant must submit a writing sample of at least 10 pages (double spaced and typed) based on any subject of Long Island history and how it reflects NY State and American History.
    • Paper must have a bibliography and end notes.
    • Applicant must submit two letters of recommendation from American history teachers
    • Applicant must submit personal statement (500 words) citing achievement in public service and American history.

  • Scholarship amount:  $1000

    Scholarship deadline:  April 3, 2020

    • Applicant must be a graduating high school senior
    • Applicant can be planning on attending a 4 year college immediately after graduation
    • Essay Required regarding Social Justice
    • Letters of recommendation required

Island Federal Credit Union

  • Scholarship amount:  $10,000 x 3 / $2,500 x 8

    Scholarship deadline:  April 27, 2020

    • Applicant must be a member of Island Federal Credit Union
    • Applicant must be a graduating senior
    • Applicant can be planning to attend a full time program at a two or four year school

  • Scholarship amount:  $750 x 1 / $500 x 2

    Scholarship deadline:  May 22, 2020

    • Applicant must be a graduating high school senior
    • Applicant can be attending a 2 or 4 year college
    • Applicant must be planning to major in one of the sciences or engineering
    • Applicant must have an 80 or better HS average

Abbott and Fenner Scholarship

  • Scholarship amount: $1,000

    Scholarship deadline: June 12, 2020

    • Applicant must be a graduating high school senior
    • Applicant must write essay on the following topic:
    Describe your educational career and life goals. Explain your plan for achieving these goals. Include your degree/major, why you selected it, and how this degree/major will help you achieve your goals.

Seatuck Cover Rotary - “Service Above Self” Scholarship

  • Scholarship amount:  $1000

    Scholarship deadline:  April 1, 2020

    • Applicant must be a graduating high school senior
    • Applicant must complete application along with essay
    • Applicant can be planning on attending a 4 year institution upon graduation
    • Applicant must submit two Letters of recommendation    

New York State Insurance Reciprocal Jensen Scholarship

  • Scholarship amount: 1 x  $3,000 and 1  $5,000

    Scholarship deadline:  March 27, 2020

    • Applicant must be a graduating high school senior
    • Applicant must show interest and promise in the field of design
    • Applicant must write an essay. 

    Topic: a way they would design or adapt an existing design for a specific purpose.  Why this design would be unique will also need to be addressed.

East End Livestock & Horseman’s Association

  • Scholarship amount:  $1200 x 5

    Scholarship deadline:  April 15, 2020

    • Applicant must be a graduating high school senior
    • Applicant can be attending a 2 or 4 year program
    • Applicant must be entering the field of veterinary medicine or any program associated with the care or management in animal related fields

PB & J Scholarship

  • Scholarship amount:  $1500 - $1000

    Scholarship deadline:  May 31, 2020

    • Applicant must be a graduating high school senior
    • Applicant can be attending a 2 or 4 year college
    • Applicant must complete application online indicated why they are a solid candidate for this scholarship
    • Critera for scholarship is that the student show drive and determination, despite an average GPA and perhaps los SAT/ACT scores
