November Assessments

    Assessments will begin this month and will continue until early December. 

    I will leave these concepts on the website for you to access and review.  Thank you for all the help you give your child!  I will discuss your child's progress and give you the report card at our December conference.

     

    Reading Readiness:  holds the book correctly, follows print from left to right,  Demonstrates one-to-one correspondence, shows an awareness of letter/sound relationships, recognizes some sight words in print,

    Letter Identification:

    Aa Bb Cc Dd Ee Ff Gg Hh Ii Jj Kk Ll Mm Nn Oo Pp Qq Rr Ss Tt Uu Vv Ww Xx Yy Zz

    **Sound Recognition: 

    t, b, f, n, m, c, a, i, r, o, g, d, s, e, u,p, j, l, k, h, v, w

    **Children must identify the letter, give me the sound it makes and think of a word that begins with that letter.

    Sight Words:

    I, a, the, see, is, to, my, go, me, like, on, in, so, we, it, and, up, at, see, he, do, you, an, can, no, am

    Number Identification -  1 through 10

    Counting objects: One to one correspondence to 20.

    Counting to 35

    Math Terms: 

    more / fewer / same as / greater than / less than / order / forward / backward / rectangle / square / triangle / circle / hexagon
