Blydenburgh Park

  • Also in conjunction with our Social Studies curriculum, at Blydenburg we will be learning about the lives of Colonial America here on Long Island.  The students will get an opportunity to work with their hands just as the colonial children did hundreds of years ago.  They will visit with 4 different colonial workers on the farm.  They will also get an opportunity to see a mill.

    Activities of the Day:

    1. Blacksmith- create hooks 
    2. Kitchen- cook
    3. Textiles- work with wool and a loom
    4. Carpenter- use various tools to cut and shape wood

     

     

    Wednesday, May 16th
