Hoyt Farm is an incredible trip! We are able to actually "see" how the Native Americans lived on Long Island years ago! This will give the students a hands-on experience to better understand how they lived, worked and prospered. This field trip is in conjunction with our Social Studies curriculum.
Activities of the Day:
- The students will get an opportunity to go for a hike and be introduced to natural resources of the local Native Americans.
- They will cook on an authentic stove and create a spearhead necklace.
- They will visit a museum to learn about artifacts and join a dig site.
