  • Science Research Students Learn From Seasoned Scientists 

    On Wednesday, Jan. 29 Eastport-South Manor Junior-Senior High School science research students presented their research posters at Stony Brook University.

    Students had reviewed the work of several of Stony Brook’s researchers, discussed what they learned and were given feedback from the researchers they reviewed. Additionally, students learned about available internships in which they could participate in ongoing research at the university.

  • Student-Artists to Showcase Work at Long Island Exhibit

    Eastport-South Manor Junior-Senior High School sophomores Arianna Adamo and Piper Cluff were recently selected to showcase their artwork in the “Colors of Long Island” show at The Long Island Museum in Stony Brook from Feb. 21 to March 22.

    The vibrant oil pastel portraits completed in Allisyn Massimo’s Drawing and Painting class were inspired by friendship.

  • ESM Junior-Senior High School Hosts Annual Fundraising Event 

    For the 13th year, students and staff at Eastport-South Manor Junior-Senior High School hosted their annual Stuff-a-School event where they collected hundreds of donations for local organizations.

    On Dec. 19, numerous performing groups showcased their talents in a display of festive cheer as students worked rigorously to box donations ahead of the holidays. Among the talented student-groups that performed were the Chamber Choir, Chamber Orchestra, Show Choir, String Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, and Women’s and Men’s Ensembles.

  • Teacher Hiring Interview Committees: 

    We are looking for ESM parents who are interested in participating in the hiring committees for: 

               Elementary Teacher Interviews

               Special Education Teacher Interviews 

    Committee interviews will be scheduled during the school day, the week of February 25-28. Please contact the Personnel Department at 631-801-3022, if you are interested in participating. Specify if you are interested in the Elementary Committee or the Special Education Committee.
