Summer Reading Success Celebrated in ESM

The red carpet was rolled out at Eastport Elementary School and Dayton Avenue School as students were celebrated for their commitment to reading throughout the summer!

Both schools hosted special red carpet celebrations to recognize students who participated in the summer reading program, which encourages students to keep reading even when school is out of session. The program helps students stay motivated, build strong reading habits and, most importantly, foster a love of reading.

At Dayton Avenue School, 84 students were recognized for their summer reading accomplishments, collectively reading for more than 50,000 minutes. At Eastport Elementary School, 94 students were recognized for reading a more than 93,000 minutes throughout the summer.

Congratulations to all of our summer readers!
